Felt very personal... there's a light at the end, relief, conclusion. Wonderfully written.

These poems are quite close to the bone at times - written last thing, a kind of outpouring. There are lots of them, not many get through ... thank you!

Very good, thank you for sharing. It reaches out when we write from the heart/soul or that part that sometimes gets a little all over the place.

You are welcome - I don't know if it's the quiet or the tiredness that lets me drop my guard more late night / early morning. I write - I put them away and come back to pick over the pieces later ...

Probably a bit of both. The quiet does a good job as does the leaving them to be for a bit.

How many people feel this:

"All this time

concerned with all

the things which

have no bearing

on anything.

You fool.

Can’t you see that?

Even now."

Almost everybody, unless they are not even self-aware enough to notice.

We all wonder what we're doing, but perhaps the real question is why are we not doing more of the things that are important to us ...

1.

You left before I

had the chance to

mature enough,

so that I could truly

understand and value you.

LOVE!

Nice! I'd missed the title and read the whole thing as one long poem. And it works. I like the way you shift points of view in the middle. Love, past, and death. There's nothing else worth writing about.

Thank you Shital - there are real people, fictional people and then people who inspire me in these poems ... this one is the latter ... I have been obsessed for quite a while now with the life and work of Louise Bourgeois ... this one is for her.

Of these series of short poems my favorite is the first one. I think is well-written and the poetic expression says much. It talks of the now and then in simple language, but that it shows as poetry is clear.
