Thank you MAL - it never fails to amaze me at how changeable the sea is - there’s never a day when it’s the same … I feel so lucky to be able to visit almost everyday
Beautiful images. My favorites individual images are the third one, the last image, and the fog image, fwiw. And the story of the variations is wonderful.
Thank you Donn - these were taken from a series a year ago and I’ve another set in progress - trying to pick 14 was quite hard work as you want to show the variation but also want to show the ones that connect somehow …
I love these photos, Richard. Being by the sea is my happy place. Unfortunately, it’s not a place I get to very often as it’s so far from where I live. Being close to Lake Ontario gives some solace but it’s not the sea.
Richard, I too find my solace while strolling along by the sea…
I’m certain that growing up on the biggest island in the contiguous United States, below British Columbia Canada, is what does it for me…
The name of my island, Whidbey…
Your photographs as always, are lovely as can be…
Especially the colours, and the changes you captured in the weather, that you can plainly see…
The biggest thing your photographs illustrate to me,
is how the ocean is so vast, that wherever you go, you are truly, truly, free…

no.10 with fog is awesome!!!
Although there’s not much sea, I felt I needed to include it!
Great images with the early morning quiet captured. The clouds lie heavy on some photos and those bring a sense of isolation and imprisonment.
Thank you Pilgrim - these variations days to day can be wild - mill pond to churning danger …

I do feel very lucky to have it on my doorstep - I feel sure one day we will move and I know I will miss it
There is no place I feel more at peace. Thank you for sharing your sea with us <3
I couldn’t agree more!
Nice photos - really nice!
Thank you Sidney
You managed to capture lots of drama, both in the skies above and the waters below. Thank you, Richard!
Thank you Paul - just a small selection from
Many pics!
Makes us wistful for the ocean after two Pacific stints
There’s nothing like an early morning stroll along the seafront filling your lungs with salty goodness for the day ahead
Or better yet running along Santa Monica beach beforr the sun gets high
These are gorgeous! Thanks!
Yes, these are poetic pictures that form a wonderful whole. They speak much to me. Good work!
