I never know what to call these other than ‘10 word statements’ I guess they are part statement, part aphorism, part poem ... in theory they should stand on their own without the picture - not sure that always happens though!

I never counted the photos, or the statements, or the words in each statement, and don't think I'll even now be doing so.

Definitely stand alone. As couplets or all together. They work as are with pictures.
