Hmmm...I'm kinda torn here. On the one hand, I love a beautiful picture and it takes a lot of picture taking to get one good one, though, I rarely take pictures of myself or others, for that matter. I get the whole photography aspect. On the other hand, there's the writer side of me who wonders how those people felt, what they were thinking, what they noticed that made them think I need to capture a selfie to commemorate this; those things that a picture can't answer. How they would write it, what they would say and then, which would sing more, reading and seeing both - the picture or the words? I tend to side with the writing, if for no other reason than to be completely in the moment. That picture will likely never make it off their phone anyway. The pictures you captured are wonderful!
