If I ever go to the Grand Canyon, my deja vu will be going off like a FIRE ALARM. Not many years ago, I experienced several dreams about traveling through it ( for some reason, the Canyon had homes along the walls, I have NO CLUE WHY ).
I wonder if I could find an analyst who favored C. G. Jung ?
Many moons ago - before kids - I was lucky enough to have a helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon. Sadly the day before we'd hit the strip and found a happy hour margarita place which we embraced with much vigour. The helicopter trip was something of a disaster given all of our states. So, sadly, I cannot help with whether there were any homes in the walls ....
When I have a really COLORFUL dream, I'm at least 90 % certain that Stanley Kubrick is looking down from Producer / Director / Screenwriter Paradise going " why the Hell didn't I do something like that ? ". Or not. You seem to have found a good bar, so it wasn't a loss, seems like. The condominiums along the walls were my subconscious' idea.
