I assume you found those lists in your own archives. Thanks for letting us peek into the world of your eating habits. My favorite is “hard boiled egg, salt, pepper”.
These were collected ( along with another 86 - I have 100 in all ) a good while back - I was tempted to slip a list of my own in - but none are my own works. And yes, I love 'Hard Boiled Egg' too!
The Milky Bars are on Steve! If they're 4 Steve, what is 4 drinks? Why does a shopping list get headed up "shopping list"? Do we need to be reminded it's a reminder?
I howled with laughter at some of these. Clearly, Sainsbury's is an emporium to wonder at. Did they ever get their mini sausages? What papers were purchased - had someone run out of "cigs" - written furtively to avoid saying the word out in full? And if it is in full, we then get abbreviated "rasberrys"? I wonder what a paracetamol sundae tastes like. And a monster -m-u-c-h- munch ...
Finally, is Sainsbury's Gold a judgment of what you need to shop there, something you buy there, or an assessment of the role they play in your life.
I have come to see shopping lists as a beautifully intimate in their uninhibited and natural state which no-one expects some weirdo to go around collecting. I will always have 'Fresh Air Spray' as my favourite - I've hunted for it high and low with no luck to date ...
Wow so many people leaving shopping lists around! Probably in grocery carts? Your found shopping lists make a “found poem”!
Thank you Karen - once you start looking you can't miss these things...
I haven't seen a mention of cod liver oil anywhere since...I can't remember when.
Not just any cod liver oil, Paul : 'Extra high strength'
My mother made me take it by the tablespoon many years ago
Hola , Gran Exploración Surrealista. Un Saludo.
¡Gracias, ciertamente, algunos artículos extraños!
" Pilgrim's Progress ? " It seems as though it's shrinking in 1 frame, then growing, then keeping to middle ground.
It makes you wonder why you need a list at all for some of the shorter ones ...
...i love lists...just got me thinking what would it be like to write a story but do it in a list form...could be a fun challenge...
Totally - or make up a story made up of items from other people's lists!
Loved this! Have you read A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M Miller? This reminded me of that.
Thank you! No, I haven't even heard of the book but a quick read of the synopsis has made me add it to my reading list. Thanks for the recommendation!
One my dad read as a young man and always stuck with him, enough to recommend it to me! Science fiction and dystopia, I loved it!
This was expected but clever and welcome! Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome Daniel ...

I've heard they're a danger to life and limb. But, you may just have found a gap in the market.
I like this style. Keep it up!
Thank you Rick!
Very experimental, and cleanly done. Every photo portrays the subject the same, which gives the disharmonious notes a sense of cohesion. Nicely done.
That's very kind of you Bethel.
