I’ve been trying to find a way to show photos in a ‘poetic’ kind of way - even if that’s just 14 to represent each line of a sonnet and colour/b&w as the ‘rhyme’ - it’s VERY much a wip... but when you have words in your photos it becomes a lot easier!

I love this! Johann Wolfgang Goethe once replied that his purpose was to bring poetic form to everyday life. He'd certainly agree that street signs are clandestine beatniks!

I relate! My latest obsession is to photograph "life in hard places", meaning weeds that seed and take root in cracks in the sidewalk, drainage pipes, asphalt, anywhere that is unhospitable. The sight of such things teaches me things about resilience.

And your taking notice of the signs is so Goethe. You see through the eyes of poet! Thank you for letting us all in on that!

Absolutely! I always love how you see nature sprout from the man-made. We had a sycamore in our back wall - a huge two foot wide solid stone wall and it caused so much damage ... I just thought it was incredible ... the force of nature!

I'm reminded of a song from the late 60's - early 70's, " SIGNS ", kind of a " rebellious ", " stick it to ' the man ' " anthem, although I can't recall the name of the band.
