It made me think. Which is, I guess, the best thing you can say about a piece of writing.

And those photos. The way you frame brutalist architecture, shadow, and texture makes the city feel both monumental and intimate.

Thank you Gianni - I generally write my poems in a way that, I hope, allows the reader to form their own world from ... The National Theatre in London is one of my favourite buildings

I always wonder how architectural photographers manage to get those building lines straight. Do you use a tripod?

The unanswered letter to Sir Peter Hall is such a specific kind of ache, not rejection exactly, just silence that you carry around for decades until it turns up in a suitcase. Funny how the boldest things we did at that age only look brave in hindsight. What made you finally open that box after all this time?
