A one-sided conversation

You got it wrong, misunderstood the words,
thought you knew what was wanted, how absurd.
Now the fool for one simple mistake,
it’s been made clear, this isn’t your fate.

Unspoken is always a one-sided communication.
Though you think you have a gift, more of
an understanding of body language, or auras
seeing both sides of the voiceless conversation.

How boring, however, would it be
to see all points of view laid bare to see,
to know what each is thinking, without asking
wiping out hope of the possibility lasting.
