What would someone such as MARGARET MEAD make of this / these ? I took courses in cultural anthropology but I'm NOT EXACTLY an authority.

Margaret Mead opined - according to reports of a lecture she once gave - that civilisation began when man took the time to care for his fellow man's broken bones. I, on the other hand, contend that civilisation ended again in the moment when man took it upon himself to break them again.
