Awake, Illuminated, in the barest morning light, on the dock, wondering how might the world look upside down, all the time. You say, remember they say, this is the way the eyes see everyday. Flipped over in our brains, to help us comprehend. No wonder that gravity escapes great minds. So, if you climb this ladder, up into the sea Will the water slide down over you bedded, asleep?
This photograph was taken in my home town of Penzance, Cornwall early one morning a couple of years back. I had been in the habit of walking around early taking photos just as dawn was breaking. One day I will get these photos together and make a zine or book as I doubt there will be many more like this for a while. My mornings are now taken up with walking the dog - who doesn’t seem to have the patience to allow me to set up the tripod and stand around for a 20-second exposure. Shot on the Nikon d750.
