Odin

A poem

At dawn, come weather, together as we walk, 
observing the world from our different perspectives.
Never without you in these dawns without talk.
Times of quiet, each with our mood introspective.

Across favourite places, placed along our shufflings,
your fresh discoveries and morning ablutions.
Me seeking some inspiration, yet struggling 
to face a day of self-imposed doubt and confusions.

Is this what our battle is, to make it through the day
defending our dream states from our enemies?
What are you hoping for today my friend,
who has no worries or creative austerities.

When this fight is over, my trusty commander,
where will you place me, Valhalla or Fólkvangr?
