People profess to love nature -
But the thought on my mind;
never believe in a thing
unspoilt by human kind.
These patinations of human invasion,
analogue interactions, intercommunications
are projected forth upon
the things we created,
produced,
unconsciously conflated.
We cover the walls, the objects we’re making
in a glaze of human conception, crass but painstaking
dripping with words, pictures and symbols
pushing the limit,
the zeitgeist,
in our own twisted image.
The species’ encrustations
promoting it’s latest manifestation
of the natural selection, that moving forward,
will hurtle us towards the future’s
sinking, shrinking,
ever closing door.
Forget the icebergs and warming oceans,
Don’t question the science or expected emotions,
look no further than the city’s wall
to tell what will inevitably,
enduringly befall
us all.
Can we change? Become not ourselves.
Lose the essence that makes us us.
Are we looking for a platform to spout from
or truthfully, for a
brighter and
a better outcome.

Nice! Never believe in a thing unpsoilt by human kind. There's something very truthful and very scary about it.
